Professor Jeremy Chapman AC, MB BChir MD FRACP FRCP

Professor Jeremy Chapman is a nephrologist, Past Director of Medicine and Cancer, Westmead Hospital and Western Renal Services, Chairman of the Australian Bone Marrow Donor Registry, Past President of The Transplantation Society, Deputy Chair of the WSLHD Board, Advisory Member of The WHO Expert Advisory Panel on Human Cell Tissue and Organ Transplantation, Secretary General and Past President of the WMDA and founding Co-Chair of the Declaration of Istanbul Custodian Group. Editor-in-Chief for Transplantation and Transplantation Direct 2015-2020.

Awards include: 2003 Order of Australia Medal, 2010 Asturius Foundation Award for International Cooperation, 2010 David Hume Award of the US National Kidney Foundation, 2015 Companion of the Order of Australia. 2018 Order of the Polar Star, Mongolia.

Professor Chapman's clinical work has been in renal medicine, transplantation of kidney and pancreas and diabetic renal disease and islet transplantation. Professor Chapman remains actively involved in the academic field having over 430 publications and a current lifetime H Index of 79. He is a Clinical Professor at the University of Sydney, Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom, Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences.
