
Dr. Hesham Aljohary, MD, FRCSI, CABS
Dr. Hesham Aljohary, MD, FRCSI, CABS, FACS, is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar and consultant general surgeon at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar. He is a member of the Arab Board of General Surgery and a fellow of the Royal College of Surgery of Ireland and American College of Surgery.
He has many international published articles as well as many presentations at international congresses like EAES. He is a member of many hospital committees including the medical records committee, program evaluation committee and perioperative quality improvement.
After completing MB Bch, he started his general surgery training in 1994 and had a diploma of laparoscopic surgery from France and a fellowship of general surgery from the Royal College of Surgery of Ireland in 1999. He has been actively involved with educational activities surrounding the advancement of minimally invasive surgery. He is actively involved in teaching medical students of Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar and residents at HMC as he is a core faculty in ACGMEI accredited General Surgery Residency Program.
