Dr Hussien Aly Hussien Aly Touny, MBBch, M.Sc
Dr Hussien Touny, is currently the academic chief resident of general surgery department at HMC. He graduated from Ain Shams University, Egypt in 2010. After which he joined internship program at Ain Shams University hospitals and went to the US during his intern ship as a part of post graduate exchange program where he focused his rotations on vascular surgery. After he finished his intern ship in 2012, Dr Touny started his residency in vascular surgery department for 3 years in Kobri Al-Qubba hospital, Egypt; during which he obtained his M.Sc degree. Later in 2015, he Joined HMC general surgery residency program and currently in his final year of training.
Dr Touny is showing great interest in vascular surgery and specifically endovascular management of vascular diseases. He also shows interest in minimally invasive surgeries with specific interest in upper gastro-intestinal surgeries.
Beside being the Academic chief resident of general surgery, Dr Touny is member of the program evaluation committee, and he was the associate chief resident for the year 2018/2019.
