The First Qatar Health Services Research Symposium 2015 is dedicated to raising researchers’ knowledge of health service research through sharing of insights, experience and knowledge. The symposium also aims at ensuring professionals working in the country’s health sector understand the benefits of health service research to the health of its population.
This symposium stands as a platform for informing researchers of emerging developments in this field across Qatar. It will have both international and local speakers sharing insights on the impact of health services research on population health. As health services research is a multidisciplinary field, the symposium will have a wide-ranging scope and will address topics from several perspectives.
This symposium has been organized by the Health Services Research Center (HSRC), a part of Qatar’s Academic Health System (AHS). One of the core functions of the center is to fund high‐quality research that generates new knowledge about the delivery, access, and cost‐effectiveness of health care in Qatar.
