Dr. Khawla Ahmad Athamneh
Dr. Khawla Ahmad Athamneh is the Acting Assistant Executive Director at Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI), Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). She is a health systems improvement expert, who has initiated different systems improvement and programs on Infection Control, Risk Management, Patient Experience, Hospital Quality and Patient Safety.
She has supported various healthcare organizations' readiness for accreditation. Developed and led different academic programs in several academic institutions including the master's in public health – health systems improvement stream in Qatar University. Currently, Khawla is leading the improvement capacity and capability building agenda across Qatar, supporting different improvement collaboratives and programs that design/redesign and develop effective, efficient, and safe solutions to support improvement initiatives.
