Dr. Saleem Farook is Senior Consultant and Deputy Chair for Academic Affairs in Emergency Medicine at Hamad Medical Corporation since 2013 with responsibility for overseeing graduate medical education and CME programs in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Farook undertook Higher Specialty Training in Emergency Medicine in the UK between 1997 and 2003, gaining CCT and Fellowship from the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. He holds Fellowships with the Higher Education Academy and the Academy of Medical Educators in the UK.  Prior to his appointment at HMC, he was Consultant in Emergency Medicine and simultaneously served as Associate Postgraduate Dean at the North Western Deanery in Manchester in the UK. He has held positions as Foundation Program Director, faculty for medical students from Manchester Medical University and honorary Associate Clinical Tutor in Clinical Education at Edge Hill University.
