To ensure that improvements in practice do not remain just a series of projects but evolve into a way of life, it is critical to engage physicians' hearts and minds. This session describes what it takes to motivate physicians to move from the periphery to the center of quality improvement.

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
  • Articulate key factors that make physicians resistant to change
  • Describe behaviors that will authentically engage physicians in an organization’s quality agenda
