Program Overview

The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship
is a comprehensive three-year program designed to provide psychiatrists with specialized training in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of psychiatric disorders in medically ill patients. This fellowship equips fellows with the knowledge and skills necessary to bridge the gap between psychiatry and other medical specialties, facilitating the integration of mental health care into the broader healthcare system.

The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship Program is dedicated to training psychiatrists who aspire to excel in the specialized field of consultation-liaison psychiatry. Through a combination of clinical experiences, didactic education, research opportunities, and mentorship, our program prepares fellows to provide expert psychiatric care to medically ill patients and contribute to the advancement of the field.

Fellows will engage in a variety of clinical rotations including general hospital psychiatry, transplant psychiatry, psycho-oncology, palliative care, and psychosomatic medicine.  These rotations will expose fellows to diverse patient populations and medical subspecialties. Fellows will participate in a structured didactic curriculum, including seminars, case conferences, and journal clubs. Fellows will have the opportunity to engage in research projects under the guidance of experienced mentors. This may involve clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, or scholarly activities related to consultation-liaison psychiatry. Fellows will be involved in teaching medical students and residents, helping to develop their skills in educating others about psychiatric aspects of medical care. Fellows will receive close supervision and mentorship from experienced consultation-liaison psychiatrists, ensuring the development of clinical expertise and professional growth.

We welcome applicants who are passionate about integrating mental health into the broader healthcare system and improving the overall well-being of patients.
