Contacting a Patient:
At Rumailah Hospital we believe visitors play an important role in contributing to patient recovery. We therefore warmly welcome visitors to the hospital but have some guidance in place to ensure we maintain our high standards of patient safety, care and cleanliness.
  • In person
    On arrival at Rumailah Hospital, visitors should go to the Admitting Department, which is located at the main entrance to the hospital. The Admitting department will provide you with a ward name for the person you are visiting. At the main entrance you will find a Patient and Visitors Help Desk to guide you accordingly.
  • By telephone
    Patients can be contacted by telephone through the Nurses’ Station.

    It is hospital policy that medical information cannot be provided to relatives of patients over the telephone. If you would like to receive patient medical information, you should see the patient’s primary care physician. Please note that information on a patient’s condition will only be provided to relatives.

Visiting a Patient:
On arrival at the hospital visitors can seek assistance related to the hospital from the Patient and Visitor Service help desk located at the main entrance of Rumailah Hospital from 6 am to 9 pm, seven days a week.

Visitor guidelines
In general, patients may have two or three visitors at a time but this number is dependent on the health of the individual patient. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please see our visiting times section for visiting restrictions for children under 12.

Patient safety
You should not visit the hospital if you have an active infection and/or symptoms of active infection or have a communicable disease.

Gifts
Animals are not allowed as gifts in the hospital, as these items will compromise infection control measures.

Parking
Parking is free of charge for patients and visitors of Rumailah Hospital. There is also a valet parking service available which costs 15 QR for the first three hours. Designated parking spots for persons with disabilities are located in parking areas closest to the entrance to the outpatient department.

Visiting Timings
Family and friends are encouraged to visit patients, as this assists in the recovery process.
Visiting hours are from 7am to 10 pm daily.

Visiting restrictions
On occasion visiting times may be restricted, depending on the health and condition of the individual patient. Visiting times for children less than 12 years of age are always limited to 3 pm to 7 pm. Children must be supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times.

Facilities for patients and Visitors:
A small cafeteria is available by the main entrance of the hospital. Its opening hours are 7 am to 7 pm. In addition, vending machines are available in various areas within the hospital.

The hospital also offers free wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) and TV access for families and visitors in waiting area.

Overnight facilities
Please note that there are no facilities for visitors to stay overnight within the hospital.
