The Department of Hematology and Oncology at the National Center for Cancer Care and Research is dedicated to providing advanced, comprehensive cancer care to all patients.

The department is responsible for diagnosing and treating all cases of solid tumors and hematological (blood) malignancies as well as other blood disorders. We strive to achieve clinical excellence in all aspects of care and attend to approximately 3,000 patients per month (including outpatient, inpatient, day care and urgent care cases).

Medical oncology and hematology services at NCCCR provide our patients with the highest standards of medical care in the fields of oncology and hematology. We provide a multi-disciplinary team approach, involving diagnostic radiology, radiotherapy, pathology, pharmacy and surgery specialties. Medical services are delivered to patients through a multi-disciplinary team that is experienced in handling both chemotherapy and supportive treatments. These therapies are provided to patients with compassion and supported by experienced medical teams. Our physicians also provide specialty consultations in our Outpatient Department and at other facilities across HMC.

Our Department of Hematology and Oncology is subdivided into three sections:
  • Hematology
  • Oncology
  • Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)

Treatment for patients is delivered according to the best evidence based standards, through multi-disciplinary team discussions.
