For these roles HMC is seeking to appoint a group of talented, ambitious and energetic individuals with different levels of experience for both roles. Candidates will demonstrate a range of general managerial skills, including operational, project management, finance and other capabilities gained in the healthcare sector.
Candidates for the Assistant Executive Director level positions, grade 115, will demonstrate senior management experience gained in the healthcare sector with a broad understanding of medical and hospital financial business and the operational effectiveness of patient care, these individuals will have led significant teams and will demonstrate strong inter-personal skills. Potential candidates for the Project Manager positions will also have experience of working within a complex healthcare organization and will bring strong project and program management skills and will have operated at management level in a hospital or healthcare environment.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Education:
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree (preferably in healthcare/health management, nursing, business administration, or related health care field)
Preferred:
Advanced degree in health management (master's level)
Experience:
Minimum:
- 3-5 years progressive administration and leadership responsibility in a comprehensive tertiary healthcare facility or similar
- Working knowledge of performance improvement
- Clinical and financial management experience
- Ability to plan strategically and implement new processes and programs through data analysis and cost effective interactions
- Program leadership and management experience
Required Certification or Licensure or Registration
- Certification and licensure as required by the discipline
Language Skills
- English Advanced
- Basic knowledge of Arabic would be advantageous but not essential
Computer Skills
- Intermediate, proficient in the use of email and the internet for research purposes. Also experience in the use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
