Dr. Sara Adel Salim, MBChB, FICMS
Dr. Sara Adel Salim is a Hematopathologist with 26 years of expertise in Hematology and Transfusion Medicine. With a sincere dedication to her craft, she has excelled in various leadership roles, showcasing excellent management skills and a commitment to professionalism and medical ethics.
Dr. Sara holds a FICMS degree (Fellow of the Iraqi Commission for Medical Specialization), the highest national credential in Hematology in Iraq, and an MBChB from Al Mustanseryia University, College of Medicine, Iraq.
Her extensive working experience includes roles such as Head of Transfusion Medicine Division and Head of North Hub laboratories at Hamad Medical Corporation. Throughout her career, she has been responsible for overseeing the technical, administrative, and operational aspects of her divisions, implementing quality improvement initiatives, and providing clinical consultations.
Dr. Sara is also actively involved in research and has membership in professional committees such as the AABB (The Association for Advancement in Blood and Biotherapy) and the Hamad Medical Corporation Corporate Transfusion Committee, among others. She is also involved in continuous education activities through seminars and lectures, demonstrating her dedication to advancing the field of Hematology and Transfusion Medicine.
