Joan T. Merrill, M.D.
JJoan T. Merrill, M.D. is a Member of the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation in Oklahoma City, USA and OMRF Professor of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma, Adjunct Professor of Medicine at New York University, and Chief Advisor for Clinical Development at the Lupus Foundation of America. She is the Principal Investigator of the Oklahoma Lupus Cohort, a 20 year-long study of patients with systemic lupus who contribute clinical data and blood samples over time. She has more than 300 publications on clinical and pathophysiologic investigations of lupus and the antiphospholipid syndrome and has been the lead investigator on many interventional clinical trials for lupus.
