Welcome

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the 3rd Qatar Nephrology conference.

Renal diseases are one of the common non-communicable disease affecting patients worldwide. Caring for renal patient represents a significant percentage of the health care expenditure of all well-developed countries. The Qatar National Health Strategy aims to deliver a high-quality preventative and therapeutic care for all patients in Qatar and it is important we look to international best practice to achieve this.

Building on the enormous success of first and second conferences held in 2013 and 2016, it is again the time discuss the latest updates in the nephrology field. The conference will be held 16 to 18 April, 2020.

This conference will gather world leaders in the nephrology field to discuss cutting edge procedures with special emphasis on clinical nephrology. The conference program has been carefully curated to provide up-to date evidence and discussion on different aspects of acute renal disease, CKD, renal transplant, renal replacement therapy for pediatric and adult nephrology.

Visiting Qatar in April 2020 will be a unique experience - giving you the chance to not only enjoy the weather but also see how the country has developed. This will also be a good opportunity to visit the country before the long-awaited 2022 Fifa World Cup.

On behalf of the nephrology team in Qatar, I am looking forward to welcome you to Doha in 2020 and to make your visit a very enjoyable and fruitful experience.
