On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees of the Eighth Qatar Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolic Conference (QDEM-8) 2024 and the Third Qatar Diabetes and Obesity Research Symposium a hybrid conference, from 2 to 4 May 2024, we warmly welcome you to our event website.

As Qatar’s capital, Doha is a vibrant and fast-growing modern metropolis. In recent years Doha has become a hub for education and medical institutions. Today a mosaic of leading academic, research, education, and health service organizations have a significant presence in Qatar.

The Qatar Metabolic Institute (QMI), the Department of Endocrinology & Diabetes at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) the National Diabetes Committee and the Department of Non-Communicable Disease Prevention Programs at the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) are pleased to present to the medical community, both locally and internationally, the Eighth Qatar Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolic Conference (QDEM-8) 2024 and the Third Qatar Diabetes and Obesity Research Symposium. Carefully designed to cover diverse aspects of endocrinology, advances in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, pituitary/adrenal and thyroid disorders, obesity, osteoporosis, pediatric endocrinology, genetics, as well as highlight important research initiatives on diabetes and obesity taking place in Qatar. This conference will be one of the year’s most significant gatherings of endocrinology clinicians and professionals in this region. We aim to satisfy the needs of all those with an interest in the field, from the trainee to the primary health care generalist and secondary/tertiary care specialist physician, as well as researchers.
