Dr. Eveline Hitti
Associate Professor, Clinical Emergency Medicine and Current Interim Chairperson, Emergency Medicine, American University, Beirut, Lebanon
Dr. Eveline Hitti is an Associate Professor in Clinical Emergency Medicine and current Interim Chairperson of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. She graduated with an MD degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD in 2002, after which she completed her Residency in Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital. After spending four years at Medstar Health in Baltimore and completing her Masters in Business Administration at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Dr. Hitti joined AUB in 2009. Her administrative and research work has focused on applying and developing evidence-based health management practices to improve quality and safety of patient care, from using Lean and Six Sigma methodology to improve ED process metrics and hospital throughput to introducing multi-source feedback to improve safety culture.
