Dr. Dia Hassan
 Dr. Dia Hassan received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the American University of Beirut and her PhD in Health Services Administration from the United States. She worked as President and CEO across a number of prestigious hospitals for more than ten years. She has been a consultant with Joint Commission International since early 2008 and a faculty member/advisor with Planetree International since late 2017.
Dr. Hassan has more than 35 years of experience in senior managerial positions in healthcare organizations and has held consultancy positions in quality and accreditation.
In 2006, she received the ‘Contribution to the Profession Award’ from Walden University, USA and in 2007 published ‘Measuring Performance in Health Care,’ in the UK. She also has publications in renowned scientific journals and has presented at a number of international and local conferences. She also given a poster presentation at The International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) 25th International Conference in Copenhagen 2008.
Dr. Hassan has prepared curricula for programs in health management and quality for universities in Dubai and has chaired the Health Sciences Advisory Committee of the Higher Colleges of Technology of Dubai for more than two years.
