Dr. Faruk Mohammad Azad

Dr. Faruk Azad is an experienced leader with vast experience in business transformation, change management, digital technology, product marketing and operational excellence. He is currently in charge of various Digital Transformation Projects at Hamad Medical Corporation and Ministry of Public Health in Qatar.
At Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, he has also pioneered the Qatar National Toxicology Program, which deals with variety of emergencies, from poisonings and overdoses, to mass casualty incidents. Dr. Faruk has also contributed to the Qatar Health Conference 2020 and is supporting emergency preparedness training at major sports events. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he led the effort to develop and optimize a universal app called Kashif for faster patient information processing and swab data registration. The app uses scanning technology for error-free data entry, real-time data verification and integration with various healthcare systems. These projects significantly aim to enhance the company's efficiency and speed in dealing with the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Dr. Faruk has a rich experience in management of complex corporate environments across several disciplines like marketing, information technology and regulatory units. Previously, he has managed and developed the roaming Passport for Ooredoo Group, the award winning Ooredoo Sports App using innovative Artificial Intelligence Algorithms and Avatar for stunning visualization. Over the years, he has participated and substantially contributed to strategic areas of Qatar's sport, with different roles in the Qatar Olympic Committee. Dr. Faruk’s integrity, commitment and passion were key to his selection at the office of Her Highness, the First Lady of Qatar, a highly coveted role.
He holds a BBA in International Business and Management studies from Stenden University, Netherlands, receiving the best student award. He is President of Stenden University Alumni Advisory Board. He also has received a diploma in International Leadership Management, from ILM, UK. He is a graduate of Georgetown’s Executive Master of Professional Studies in International Emergency & Disaster Management and a Georgetown Ambassador.
