Objectives:
- Explain and describe the anatomy and pathophysiology of traumatic hemorrhage [TH] and coagulopathy of trauma [CoT].
- Present current concepts and updates in hemostatic resuscitation.
- Discuss criteria that can be used to predict hemorrhagic shock, the need for massive transfusion or hemostatic resuscitation [scores, mechanisms, labs].
- Demonstrate hemostatic interventions – drugs, devices and blood products
- Present options for monitoring and evaluating hemostatic resuscitation – TEG, ROTEM or INR
- Share valuable lessons for setting up an MTP
- Provide clinical scenarios for participants to apply their newfound skills and information
