Breast Cancer Awareness Month is recognized by Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in October of each year to raise awareness of breast cancer, its prevention, early detection, and the importance of maintaining good breast health.

This year, HMC’s Pink Team is launching an “Early detection saves lives” campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer and encourage women to get to know their breasts.

The campaign encourages women of any age to seek medical advice if they notice any changes in their breasts or any unusual symptoms as breast cancer is most treatable when detected early.

The campaign features a range of educational activities to educate people about the importance of breast cancer prevention and early detection to save lives.

The campaign will run throughout the month of October and is designed for the general public, patients and their families, and hospital staff.
