Professor Annie Topping

Assistant Executive Director, Nurse Education, Hamad Medical Corporation


Annie is Assistant Executive Director – Nurse Education and leads the Department of Nursing & Midwifery Education and Research at Hamad Medical Corporation.

Annie was a cancer nurse but has worked in higher education for over 30 years leading curriculum development, teaching research methods, learning and teaching and advanced practice and supervising and examining PhD students.

Prior to joining HMC in 2013 she led the Centre for Health & Social Care Research at the University of Huddersfield, UK where she remains a Visiting Professor. Her research interests include delay in cancer, use of simulation-based learning and understanding improvement and change.
