Brent joined the Corporate Nursing team in March of 2013 as Assistant Executive Director of Nursing and acquired the Quality & Patient Safety portfolio in April of 2014.
Brent’s clinical background is in critical care, where he has worked extensively in emergency nursing, intensive care and flight nursing. Prior to joining HMC, in March of 2013, Brent worked in Canada, the United States and most recently at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSHRC) in Riyadh, KSA. While at KFSHRC Brent held the positions of Director of Nursing Quality and Magnet Program Director, where he implemented the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicator’s (NDNQI®) program, and had oversight of shared governance. He also led the hospital on their Magnet® journey from 2011, up to and including the submission of evidentiary documents for formal recognition. Brent is passionate about nursing and the impact the profession has on the patient experience and health outcomes. He is focused on ensuring that the interdisciplinary teams provide the structures and processes to deliver world class outcomes.
