Hamad Medical Corporation is committed to delivering the safest, most effective and most compassionate care to every one of our patients. This ambitious vision is already paying dividends as we make dramatic improvements in patient care.
Two years ago we re-invigorated our approach to transforming healthcare delivery by launching the Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI). In 2016, we’re proud to say that the Middle East Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare is brought to you by HHQI.
This is the fourth edition of the forum. In such a short time the event has become one of the leading healthcare conferences in the GCC, with over 2,500 participants expected to attend this year.
Quality improvement can only be achieved through teamwork. It is in this spirit of collaboration with our valued partner the Institute for Healthcare Improvement that we provide this platform to demonstrate local, regional and global successes that are patient centered, outcomes focused and evidence based.
During the keynote sessions, international experts from health and other disciplines will take you on a journey of discovery; sharing insights, strategies and tools for achieving and sustaining quality and safety improvements.
New this year will be a series of intensive seminars on, among others, patient engagement and flow. There is a great choice of workshops on themes as varied as improving medication safety; achieving enhanced recovery after surgery; engaging senior clinicians in change programs; and designing high reliability systems.
In Qatar, we are steadfast in our dedication to weaving academic health into the fabric of healthcare delivery. The poster competition will highlight many of the initiatives rising to this challenge.
I encourage you to join us for a dynamic and richly rewarding program.
Sincerely,
Prof . Adeel Butt
