Khawla Ahmad, DBA (QM), MSN (Edu.), BSN. Head of Training and Education, Health Systems Improvement (HSI), Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI) 30 years of experience in different aspects of healthcare services (Clinical, Academic and Administration), has become increasingly focused over the past 17 years on healthcare systems improvement and patient safety. Khawla initiated/activated different systems improvement and patient safety programs: Infection Control, Risk Management, Patient Satisfaction and Hospital Quality and Patient Safety (QPS) Programs in different health and business sectors. Currently; Khawla is the Head of Education in Health Systems Improvement Program in Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI). She is a core faculty (Evaluation and Research Lead) and mentor coach in the “Clinical Care Improvement Training Program (CCITP)”, a core member in “Managing Deteriorating Patient Program”. She is actively involved in the preparation for the “Masters in Health Systems Improvement” program in collaboration with Qatar University and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI).
