Dr. Gautam L. Sharma, MD, PhD., Improvement Advisor with Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI), HMC, Senior Quality Improvement faculty for various QI training programs since 2008, He has been a QI Mentor and a coach for local to regional Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Collaborative programs at micro and macro level QI projects and Programs under the Qatar National Collaborative Programs. Dr. Gautam is an IASS-Six Sigma Black Belt certified with Master’s in Hospital Management, Doctorate of Philosophy, and Doctorate of Medicine, Post graduate in Quality Improvement, Certified IHI-Improvement Coach and PRINCE2® Practitioner.
Dr. Gautam has vast experience in hospital administration and operations management including administration of a 2000 beds super multispecialty tertiary care public hospital. Some of his outstanding works includes leading the functionalizing of 163 First Referral Hospitals for 62.7 million state population. He has been rewarded for his outstanding contribution as an epidemic and pandemic control officer by the public health and family welfare department under the State Health Ministry. He has published international papers on Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric care and Blood Bank availability. His family includes his Parents, wife, a daughter and a loving cat.
