Dr. Rahma Salim
Dr. Salim is a Deputy Director at Hamad International Training Centre (HITC), Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) with 10 years’ experience in education. She has worked with healthcare professionals and subject matter experts internationally and within the region to introduce, assist in designing and development of new courses. Courses are both face-to-face and e-learning. She is board-certified and a consultant in Emergency Medicine with a special interest in trauma having completed her fellowship in Trauma Critical Care in Qatar. In addition, she serves as the AD of clinical skills and simulation at the training centre which is one of the biggest providers of inter-professional training programs to healthcare providers within the state of Qatar and the region.
She is a determined, task-oriented, innovative individual used to working in a highly challenging multicultural environment, working towards tight deadlines and is always enthusiastic and keen to search for new ideas to improve the service especially when it is linked to patient safety. Her educational vision of the future is to provide innovative and motivational learning solutions to link the gap between medical training with clinical practice.
Dr. Salim also had the opportunity to work as a core faculty in the emergency medicine residency program. She is a trainer, as well as, a course director in many of the HITC courses in resuscitation, critical care, trauma and disaster medicine.
She is currently pursuing her master’s in leadership in health care professions with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
