Ms. Vanaja Balasingh. RN

    I completed my Diploma in Nursing and Midwife in 1995, India. I worked in operating theatre in Lok Nayak Hospital - New Delhi, India. I joined Hamad Medical Corporation, 2006.  I completed Post Diploma Bachelor's in Nursing at the University of Calgary-Qatar, 2021. 

     I have actively participated in Quality Improvement monitoring such as Operating Theatre Efficiency, National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators, and International Patient Safety Goals. Participated in publishing the staff contribution on handoff communication in Nursing Informatics Bulletin magazine. Successful team member of the sustainable Quality Improvement project especially Parental Presence During Intubation with the kids Inside the Operating Theatre, ACC. Recognizable star of Excellence award for the successful project. I participated in Qatar patient safety week poster competition and presented exclusively the enactment of the innovation of a new start in ACC at Qatar in front of Her Excellency Minister of Health Dr. Hanan Al Kuwari. 

     I act as a patient advocate and nurse advocate. I am interested in intellectual discussion to improve quality and patient safety for the best patient outcomes. Comprehensive involvement in creating the abstract and being a lead author to present the execution of Value Improvement Project by frontline staff as a team in ACC OR, to commence the achievement of the successful teamwork.
