The department conducts various trainings and educational resources to enhance nurses' knowledge in Clinical Information System (CIS) and information technology (IT) appropriate to their nursing practice. These trainings are delivered in a dynamic and flexible manner, whether its one to one, by groups, face to face or virtual are tailored to the needs of the participants.
To meet the training needs of the additional nursing manpower during the pandemic, the NI department shifted to online platforms to deliver training to volunteer nurses, patient care assistants, newly hired nurses and current nurses deployed to inpatient COVID areas. Over the course of 13 months, multiple training sessions were held simultaneously. Training was the foremost challenge since face to face meetings were strictly prohibited.
