What is Blood Donation?

Blood Donation reactivates blood circulation and prompts bone marrow cells to renew their activities and increase its effectiveness. It also alleviates blood pressure and eliminates headache, hence providing you with more vitality and lifelines.
When you donate you will be offered a medical examination to check your general health, your hemoglobin, your blood pressure and pulse rate , you will also be offered laboratory screening tests for many infectious diseases including Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV, HTLV, malaria if indicated, syphilis and in case if there is any problem the Blood Donor Center at HMC will provide the necessary counseling by doctors and specialized consultants, and if needed refer you to the appropriate medical clinic to follow up.
