National Burn Center
As Qatar’s designated National Burn Center, Al Wakra Hospital provides a comprehensive range of services including inpatient care, acute and intensive care beds, emergency and outpatient care, surgical intervention, and rehabilitation for patients with burn injuries. The hospital houses inpatient acute and intensive beds dedicated to acute, surgical, and rehabilitative care for patients with various types of burn injuries.
A dedicated Burn Operating Theater is reserved for scheduled elective surgeries, operating Sunday to Thursday, from 6 AM – 2 PM.
The Burn Outpatient Clinic provides minor burn dressings and minor surgical procedures such as scar tissue injections, tissue expander injections, slough tissue removal, and removal of sutures and staple wires.
Al Maha Pediatric Specialized Care Center (AMPSCC)
Located within Al Wakra Hospital campus, Al Maha Pediatric Specialized Care Center is Hamad Medical Corporation’s specialized facility for pediatric and pediatric long-term acute care. Al Maha Center brings together specialized services designed to meet the complex and chronic health needs of children and their families. The inpatient services include acute admissions for pediatric medical and surgical conditions, and long-term care for children with chronic and complex health conditions.
The Child Development Center (CDC) offers a variety of outpatient services, supporting general children’s health needs and specific programs for children with developmental needs. These services are complemented by programs operated in coordination with Rumailah Campus, including Pediatric Rehabilitation, Autism Program, Early Intervention Program, Shared Therapy Clinics, and Behavioral Therapy Clinics.
