Immunohistochemistry Stain
Useful For
Use to distinguish urothelial carcinomas from other genitourinary neoplasms such as prostate carcinoma. It is useful for identification and diagnosis of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
Method name and description
- Mouse Monoclonal Antibody S100P (16/f5)
- Immunoperoxidase stain on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue section
Clinical information
S100P is a member of the S100 family of proteins. The family is expressed in a wide range of cells and is thought to play a role in cell cycle progression and in differentiation. Anti- S100P with nuclear or nuclear/cytoplasmic immunoreactivity can be seen in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinomas, while it is rarely detectable in benign pancreatic ducts.
