Useful For
The qualitative determinination for the presence or absence of fetal blood (hemoglobin F) in a neonate's stool or vomitus.
Method name and description
A qualitatitve colourimetric test. Hemoglobin F is less susceptible to alkaline denaturation compared to adult hemoglobin.
