Factors affecting test performance and result interpretation
|
A positive result is reported when there is a rearrangement of the ROS1 locus above the normal cutoff for the probe set. The c-ros oncogene 1 (ROS1) locus and a tumor may demonstrate to respond to molecularly targeted therapy.
The results will be correlated with other genetic, pathological and Clinical interpretation.
Rearrangement detection is only limited to ROS1 probe region, any chromosomal alteration outside this region cannot be detected.
