Clinical information
|
C3c FITC reacts with human C3c complement and with the C3c part of C3 and C3b. Traces of contaminating antibodies have been removed by solid-phase absorption with human plasma proteins. Purified immunoglobulin fraction of rabbit antiserum conjugated with fluorescein isothiocyanate isomer 1. It is essential to supplement clinical findings and histopathology in the diagnosis of autoimmune diseases. It permits early diagnosis, treatment, and subsequent monitoring of disease activity in patients with these potentially life-threatening disorders.

- Specimen type: Submit 2 unstained frozen sections (2 µm thick) mounted on a clean positively charged glass slide fixed in acetone to be sent dry, or fresh tissue placed in normal saline.
- One slide will be stained for C3c antibody and the other slide will be stained for the negative control (the use of the negative control is to check for non-specific signal and false positive results).
