Clinical information
|
Thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1) belongs to a family of homeodomain transcription factors and is selectively expressed in thyroid, lung and diencephalon. TTF-1 has been identified as a transcriptional regulator of thyroidspecific genes and has also been shown to be important in the activation of pulmonary-specific differentiation genes.

- Specimen type: Well-fixed tissue in 10% neutral buffered formalin.
- Submit 2 unstained (3-4 µm thick) paraffin embedded tissue section mounted on a clean positively charged glass slide (sections to be cut within 6 weeks.) or formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue block.
