On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees of the Sixth Qatar Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolic Conference (QDEM-6), virtual conference, from 24 to 27  March 2022, we warmly welcome you to our event website.

As Qatar's capital, Doha is a vibrant and fast-growing modern metropolis. In recent years Doha has become a hub for education and medical institutions. Today a mosaic of leading academic, research, education and health service organizations have a significant presence in Qatar.

The Qatar Metabolic Institute and the Department of Endocrinology & Diabetes at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) are pleased to present to the medical community, both locally and internationally, the Sixth Qatar Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolic Conference (QDEM-6). Carefully designed to cover diverse aspects of endocrinology, diabetes including diabetes prevention and reversal, thyroid and adrenal disorders, Obesity, and lipid management. This conference will be one of the year's most significant gatherings of endocrinology clinicians and professionals in this region. We aim to satisfy the needs of all those with an interest in the field, from the trainee, to the primary health care generalist and secondary/tertiary care specialist physician.

We are delighted to welcome delegates from all over the world and encourage you to participate fully in the conference discussions. We hope this conference helps you to acquire new skills and information and to develop valuable relationships and collaborations. 

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic the organizing committee decided to have the 6th edition of QDEM as a virtual conference. We hope you will find it engaging and attend as many of the sessions as you can.
