Anesthesia Fellowship programs

The Anesthesia department at Hamad Medical Corporation offers distinct fellowship programs in a range of subspecialties in anesthesiology, each program is a 2-year program.

The Programs provides well-structured yet individualized fellowships, whereas each fellow can individualize the program to achieve his goals and objectives.

Welcome to the Department of Anesthesia, Intensive Care & Perioperative Medicine at Hamad Medical Corporation, the leading healthcare provider in the Middle East.

The anesthesiology department has over 80 operating rooms, 47 surgical ICU beds across facilities in HMC. In addition to the state-of-the-art Simulation Training Center.

The department has a wealth of Fellowship training opportunities to offer to recently-qualified residents. Our faculty members are world-renowned in their subspecialty field and high impact publications. Many others are excellent teachers and mentors.

The goal of the clinical subspecialty fellowship program is to provide an in-depth clinical training. All clinical fellows are encouraged to participate in an academic scholarly project.

Fellowship training is available in head and neck anesthesia and advanced airway management, surgical critical care medicine, neurosurgical anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, pain medicine, regional anesthesia, advanced anesthesia, as well as cardiothoracic & pediatric anesthesia.

The curriculum of each fellowship is individualized for the specific subspecialty.

The department is fortunate to have such dedicated, experienced and highly skilled faculty who contribute to each of the fellows individual learning journeys. Each fellowship program is structured to offer the opportunity to develop a range of advanced specialized skills and the integrated approach to working within the department at HMC will enable you to practice, expand and learn many new valuable skills. You will encounter a variety of both simple and highly complex cases within the diverse patient population and this is special to each of the programs.
