Neuroanesthesia Fellowship Program

Message from Program Director

The Department of Anesthesiology has been successfully running the Neuroanesthesia Fellowship Program for several years now. This is a structured two-year program based at Hamad General Hospital and provides our fellows extensive experience in the provision of high quality, evidence based anesthetic management for the whole range of neurosurgical interventions in adults.

The fellowship is led by an experienced body of consultant faculty members who have a special interest in the practice of neuroanesthesia. In addition to wide clinical exposure, our fellows are also involved in teaching, training and quality assurance and improvement.

The overall aim of this program is to produce proficient and confident neuroanesthesiologists who are capable of taking independent responsibility for patients under their care.

This fellowship is accredited by the International Council on Perioperative Neuroscience Training (ICPNT).
