Dr. Amjad Tuffaha

Dr. Tuffaha, a clinician with over 25 years of experience in pediatric pulmonary and allergy/immunology, holds dual American board certification. 

After earning his medical degree from the University of Jordan, he completed fellowships at Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. 

Dr. Tuffaha held academic roles at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Qatar Weill Cornell Medicine. 

In Qatar, he was crucial in establishing Pediatric Pulmonology and Allergy services at Hamad Medical Corporation and SIDRA MEDICINE, including founding, and directing the "Infant Lung Function Unit" and "Pediatric Pulmonary Function Lab.

" At SIDRA MEDICINE, Dr. Tuffaha established the first Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship program outside the USA, accredited by the "Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-International" (ACGME-I). 

He found a private practice in Amman, Jordan, and is actively involved in establishing the first Jordanian pediatric pulmonology medical society. 

​Dr. Tuffaha's research focuses on pediatric lung function, asthma epidemiology, aerobiology, respiratory sensitization, and the utility of infant lung function in health and disease.
