Dr.Shahid Hussain

completed his medical degree at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. He carried out my radiology training on the West Midlands training scheme, with subspecialist cardiac imaging training at the Harefield and Brompton NHS Trust. 

He was Radiology Audit, and Research lead from 2011 to 2016. He is currently working as a Consultant Cardiothoracic Radiologist interested in lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, cardiac CT and MRI, and radiofrequency ablation at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. 

He is Training Program Director for the South Sector West Midlands Radiology training scheme and the Radiology Head of the Imaging Academy within the West Midlands. 

He was responsible for organizing the radiology discrepancy meetings at Heartlands/Solihull/Good Hope at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust from 2011 to 2016. He also served as the Royal College of Radiologists' clinical tutor from 2011-to 2016. He is also an author of several books, including Radiology MCQs for the New FRCR 2a, Rapid Review of Radiology, and On-call radiology.
