Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Shah Syed is an expert in nuclear medicine, with extensive training and qualifications from Kings College Hospital in London, UK. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in London and the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Pakistan. Additionally, he holds a Diplomate Certification from the Board of Nuclear Cardiology in the USA and is a Fellow of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC). He earned a PhD in Medicine from the University of London.

Over his distinguished career spanning more than 35 years, Dr. Syed has held leadership positions at the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital in Pakistan, Kuwait University, and the Ministry of National Guard Hospital in Riyadh. Since September 2019, he has been serving as the head of the MINM service at Hamad Medical Corporation.

Dr. Syed has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles, two book chapters, presented at 150 scientific meetings, and has been teaching residents, scientists, and technical staff. His research interests include PET/CT, cardiac and brain imaging, as well as radioligand therapy (RLG).
