Dr. Rasha Ashour is a senior attending physician at Sidra Medicine, with over 23 years of experience.
She holds several clinical responsibilities including many academic and administrative positions at Sidra Medicine at national & regional level, including leading Sidra’s Sepsis Program and National Patient Safety Collaborative (NPSC) pediatric sepsis 2018-2020. In 2021 she was involved in the establishment of the EMSA Eastern Mediterranean Sepsis Alliance Steering Committee and is a member of the Global Sepsis Alliance (GSA).

Dr. Rasha is a pediatric sepsis founder at a national level, she started to fight sepsis in 2015, and led the establishment & implementation of The Pediatric sepsis program at all children's hospitals & PECs at Hamad Medical Corporation- HMC hospitals & Sidra Medicine and successfully led the creation of the culture of think sepsis in children at Qatar. And one of the main authors of the National acute sepsis management guideline published in 2019. 
Led many Quality improvement projects & programs; Physician lead of sidra home care and long-term patients, and complex patient needs, Sidra vaccination immunization program. Sidra general pediatric (GP) guideline. 
Main Author in multiple guidelines at both HMC pediatric and Sidra Medicine e.g. pediatric sepsis management guideline and IV fluids therapy and electrolyte care in deteriorating children for best care always, Active member in the Early Warning scoring subcommittee, antibiotic stewardship subcommittee, Pharmacy, and therapeutic committee & sidra medication safety chairperson, and Sidra GP CPD activities, chairperson of its SPC.

Received Global Sepsis Alliance award in 2019 for her major contribution to sepsis care; Award of Merit, HMC Education Award from Stars of Excellence for National patient safety collaborative pediatric sepsis 2019, Award of Merit, HMC Education Award from Stars of Excellence for pediatric pain awareness program 2013.
