Funding guidelines for applicants

Research is a core activity for MRC. MRC seeks to support innovative research projects that may lead to improvements in patient care. MRC has a commitment to achieving the best possible clinical outcomes through high quality basic and clinical research.

General information
  • Applications with amounts up to QR100,000 are eligible for submission at any time.
  • Applications seeking higher levels of funding will be considered under certain circumstances.
  • Applications seeking higher levels of funding will be routed through IRGC Grant Cycles or any other funding opportunity that satisfy the requested amount.
  • Applications must be submitted according to the grant application process.
  • Funding may be requested for multiple years, however funding for subsequent years will be issued based on an evaluation of the progress and perceived value of findings.
  • A report on any research activity facilitated by this funding, including successful publications, is due annually or within three months of conclusion of the funding period.
Apart from the general guidelines given in the present document, specific guidelines/policies pertaining to individual funding programs must be respected. These are available on the MRC website.
