Surgical Skills Lab
Ten surgical positions occupy the large surgical suite, allowing for individualized and small group training in surgical skills. The surgical suite includes the DaVinci Robotic Surgery System and simulator, a computerized tomography (CT) machine, as well as space for training with cadavers and animal tissues.
The Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD), two debriefing rooms with audio-visual integration, changing rooms and lockers rooms complete the surgical suite.
Examples of activities include the use of the DaVinci system, animals, and cadavers to learn new procedures, practice techniques, and to hone surgical skills.
