Ms. Joanna Marie Alvaro

Ms. Joanna Marie Alvaro is currently a Fellow of the International Society for Healthcare Quality and the Manager of Quality and Safety in Qatar Red Crescent – Medical Affairs Division. She has a double masters in Nursing and Business Administration. Her continuous pursuit of knowledge led her to have multiple certifications in the field of Quality and Patient Safety. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), Certified Quality Process Analyst (CQPA) and, Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB). She also had training in ISO - QMS 9001:2015 as Lead Auditor and a TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer awarded by Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).

Prior to joining QRCS, she was the Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer at The Medical City –Iloilo, Philippines. Because of her record of achievement and success in implementing QI and patient safety projects, she received a merit-based Scholarship from Dubai Harvard Foundation for Medical Research.
