John Tobin

I have been working in the field of resuscitation and education for over 20 years. I joined HMC (Hamad International Training centre) in June 2015 as Assistant Director for Resuscitation.

I was previously the Head of Resuscitation, Clinical skills and Simulation Services for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCULHB) in North Wales and chair of the Welsh Resuscitation forum.

Supported the British Syrian Medical Society to facilitate and co-ordinate the first Medical Emergency Life Support course to be run in Homs Syria to improve the patient care in Medical emergencies for the Islamic charity hospital Al Bir, this was a great success and following the running of the first course I applied through the European Resuscitation Council as course coordinator for Syria, this was accepted and I have subsequently run ERC approved Advanced Life Support courses to improved health care in the emergency settings, I have received from the British Syrian Medical Society honorary membership and personally thanked by the Syrian Ambassador to the UK with the presentation of certificate of appreciation for outstanding contribution to the development of health care.
