We are delighted to announce the return of two Forum favorites who are internationally renowned experts in quality improvement and will once again participate as plenary speakers in 2018:.

Don Berwick, MD, will share his unique perspective, as former Administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) under President Obama, on the importance the political environment, and how health reform is continuing to create opportunities for system-wide improvement. Don will also share the lessons he has learned from a career spent pioneering the science of improvement and engaging health leaders around the world.

Maureen Bisognano, as a hospital CEO, an innovator in improvement, and as leader of IHI, has changed the conversation about what it means to improve health and care. It is the patient, Maureen has argued throughout her career, who lies at the center of design and improvement. Bringing patients, their families, and the dedicated health professionals who serve them, together in effective and efficient care teams is, as Maureen has seen and showed again and again, the path to better health, better care, and joy.
