Welcome Message
Our first Middle East (ME) Forum took place in 2013 and was the culmination of a commitment by Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to strive towards delivering the safest, most effective and most compassionate care to each and every one of our patients. This aim is at the heart of everything we do and every decision we make.
The resounding success of that event was a clear indication of the thirst for knowledge and learning that was rapidly developing among healthcare professionals for the science of improvement. The wide-ranging agenda of the ME Forum was developed in close collaboration with the IHI, who have been equally committed to working with us to produce a rich, dynamic and inspirational program that has improved year on year.
As a teaching institution and an academic health center, we see continuing professional development as one of one of our core directives that drives our efforts for continuous improvement across the health system for the good of our patients. Our desire to improve the outcomes for our patients and communities underpins the search for practical solutions that can be implemented by healthcare professionals in their own workplaces.
This Forum is an ideal platform to connect healthcare leaders and practitioners, as well as develop networks and build coalitions designed to support understanding and drive innovation. Whether you are experienced in quality improvement techniques or just starting to learn about this science, you can take part in sessions that range from the basic disciplines of quality improvement to the latest best practice methodologies.
We have built on the experiences of previous years to ensure we provide an educational event with a stimulating and thought-provoking program that provides translational learning across the healthcare continuum to encourage and support sustainable system-wide transformation.
We look forward to welcoming back those who have attended previous ME Forums, and extend a warm welcome to any newcomers who join us for the first time. Your active participation is a key ingredient to making this event successful.
