Professor Ismail Zohdi Moustafa Zohdi, an esteemed figure in the field of Ear, Nose, and Throat, holds the title of Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt. He is recognized for his significant contributions to the medical community. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Egyptian Fellowship of Ear, Nose, and Throat, and as a Member of the Scientific Council of the Arab Board of Ear, Nose, and Throat, he plays a pivotal role in advancing the standards of ENT care.
His dedication extends to be the Honorary President of the Egyptian Cochlear Implant Association and a Member of the Specialized Scientific Committee for Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases at the Ministry of Health.
Professor Zohdi's illustrious career at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, spans several key roles. He served as a Professor of Ear, Nose, and Throat from November 30, 1994, to July 31, 2013. Notably, he held leadership positions such as Director of the Technical Office of the Dean of the College (September 15, 2006, to September 2011) and Advisor to the Dean for Hospitals Affairs during the same period. His influence is also evident in his role as Chairman of the Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat from 2012 to 2013.
Professor Zohdi's commitment to education is reflected in his supervision of 25 master's and doctoral theses in the field of ear, nose, and throat. He directed the Cochlear Implant Unit from 2008 to 2012 and contributed to the strategic planning of the college in 2010.
