Dr. Barry Solaiman is an Assistant Professor specialising in healthcare law at HBKU College of Law. He completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge and was Editor-in-Chief of both the Medicine and Law Journal and the Cambridge International Law Journal. He is Co-Director of Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar’s Intersection of Law and Medicine series. In Qatar, he has advised the Ministry of Public Health and local hospitals. His current research focusses on artificial intelligence, healthcare and the law, with a book on the topic forthcoming in 2024. He is also LPI for one HBKU grant, and PI on another HBKU grant aimed at developing AI guidelines in health and examining patient rights.
